Being an new race and all, we need a head count for setting all the support in place during and after the race. Kai Opua has a few more canoes that we can loan out for the Alii Challenge, but canvas and hoops are mandatory for this race and crews need to be prepared to bring their own. In other words, if you were planning on getting to Kona on Friday, September 3 to complete your registration and we don't have you already included for the Alii Challenge, it will be too late to enter. So please go to the race website and send in your intent if you want to be part of this inaugural race. If you don't have a full count of 6 women and 6 men use your own coconut wireless to put a crew together, or use the "Bulletin Board" link on the race website to search for crew there.
